Join me in a moment of celebration: Walter and I made our last tuition and fee payment to Rice University today!!

And in a moment of reflection: Davis has finished his Christmas Break at home. He departed for a pre-semester trip this morning [Home-->Houston-->St. Louis-->Philadelphia-->Princeton, NJ] to visit Evi. He will pop back into Houston on Sunday to catch the first day or two of the semester next Monday and Tuesday, then hit the airport again for a trip to San Francisco and the Joint Mathematics Conference to do career-related stuff.
